Houston Astros catcher Martin Maldonado is not in the lineup on Tuesday versus right-hander Zac Gallen and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Maldonado will move to the bench for the second time in three games after he went 1-for-3 with a pair of strikeouts in Monday's series opener. Cesar Salazar will catch for Brandon Bielak and bat ninth.
