Just 16 teams are left in March Madness. What combinations of teams would produce the most intriguing Final Four matchups in Houston?

The NCAA Tournament has been crazy as we have reduced the field from 68 to 16 teams that run the gamut in terms of ability over the past week. The madness resumes on Thursday night with the Sweet 16 as we will be down to the Final Four by Sunday night.

There are 256 potential Final Four permutations left with 16 teams in the field, but which would be the most entertaining to watch?

Let’s break down five of the most intriguing possibilities, starting with the wildest.

March Madness – The All-Chaos Final Four: Princeton, Florida Atlantic, Miami and Arkansas

Upsets ruled the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament so imagine if we went straight upsets the rest of the way. This Final Four would see the lowest seed remaining in each region advance to Houston, which could lead to straight-up pandemonium and shatter any remaining brackets that escaped the first weekend relatively intact.

Having a legitimate Cinderella reach the Final Four in 15-seed Princeton would be great and we would be guaranteed a mid-major in the championship as they take on Florida Atlantic. The other side of the bracket would see Miami take on Arkansas, a battle of two talented high-major teams that don’t usually get this far in March.

TV executives might view this quartet as the worst-case scenario for ratings since there wouldn’t be any nationally recognizable basketball brands here. The drama of seeing an unconventional Final Four grouping, however, would still bring plenty of intrigue.
