Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Flowery Branch crosswalk Friday
A North Carolina man was hit by a vehicle Friday afternoon while crossing Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch, according to the Flowery Branch Police Department. James Powers, of North Carolina, crossed the street using the crosswalk at Spout Springs Road Friday at about 6:00 p.m. when a driver of a vehicle hit him.

Buford man arrested following domestic violence incident
Hall County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Buford man Wednesday night on charges of sexual battery following a domestic violence incident. Officials said Tornyie Kenule Konne, 49, was taken into custody after preliminary investigations indicated Konne held an adult female victim down on a bed and committed sexual battery against her. The incident took place on the 3000 block of Over Hill Court.
