Two seats still are up for grabs in the El Paso Independent School District. Voters in District 2 are choosing between Realtor Will Veliz and El Paso County Assistant Attorney Alejandro Cuellar; in District 6, voters will be deciding between business owner Valerie Beals and educator Jacqueline Martinez.

The District 6 seat still is being decided on the Ysleta Independent School District's board of trustees, where voters will choose between retiree Debbie Torres and political consultant Christopher Hernandez.

The mayoral contest in Horizon City, meanwhile, comes down to former city Aldermen Johnny Duran and Andres Renteria.

The school district elections are open to voters living within the districts in which seats still are being decided, while the Horizon City mayoral contest is open to all Horizon City residents.
