Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Endangering Child

A Hopkinsville woman has been charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and cruelty to animals.

Hopkinsville Police say they went to the home to arrest 42-year-old Pamela Comperry Friday on a warrant for contempt of court and she put items in front of the front door preventing officers from making entry. When officers did make entry into the home her son and two dogs were found inside with the dogs in an area with fecal matter and urine all over the floor.

Police say the child and dogs did not have an adequate living situation and the child was in danger because he was in the doorway when officers made forced entry into the home.

She was arrested on the warrant and also charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree cruelty to animals.
