LOCAL CONTESTANTS — The 12 girls competing in the 2023 Hopkins County Dairy Festival Queens Coronation Pageant show off their red contestant t-shirts, which they received during the dinner hosted by 2022 Hopkins County Dairy Festival Queen Colbie Glenn and her parents at First Baptist Church’s Recreational Outreach Center Monday evening. Contestants are still selling tickets to the June 17 pageant. Dairy Festival queen contestants will assist and participate in various Dairy Festival events scheduled this weekend, beginning with the ribbon cutting downtown at noon Friday, then the ever popular Hot Air Balloon Rally and Glow Friday and Saturday, June 9-10, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., weather permitting. The Junior Dairy Show and Dairy Fest Parade will follow at 10 a.m. Saturday and the milking contest at 3 p.m. June 10.
