Shelbyville officer credited for 'heroic actions' after rescuing woman from fiery crash on I-74
INDIANAPOLIS — A Shelbyville police officer is being credited for his "heroic actions" after a fiery February crash on Interstate 74. Ofc. Devin Moore was on his way to an off-duty assignment at a local school when he came across the crash along I-74 westbound near the 121 mile-marker. That's about seven miles southeast of Shelbyville.

Bartholomew County REMC worker recovering after suffering electric shock
COLUMBUS, Ind. — A Bartholomew County REMC worker is recovering after being injured by an electric shock. According to the Columbus Fire Department, around 9 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, firefighters responded to the intersection of Lakecrest Drive and Shadow Creek Boulevard on a report of a person injured by an electric shock.
Bartholomew County Office Building added as a Saturday early voting option
COLUMBUS, Ind. – If you do not want to wait until 2024 Primary Election Day on May 7 to cast your ballot, early voting continues in Bartholomew County. In addition to Donner Center as a site to vote early, the Bartholomew County Governmental Office Building, 440 Third St., in Columbus, will be available for early voting this Saturday, April 27, and next Saturday, May 4, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
