Melanie Jones is a board-certified family physician, recognized as one of America’s TopDocs and Women in Medicine. She earned her medical degree at UAMS, College of Medicine, and went on to complete her residency at AHEC Southwest, Texarkana. She has over 15 years of clinical experience, including hospital and emergency room work. Dr Jones is passionate about ensuring that equitable medical care is available to those who are underserved and underrepresented. She served as a physician for the Arkansas Department of Corrections and has worked alongside the American Civil Liberties Union to improve the lives of the incarcerated. She has also recently returned from Warsaw, Poland, where she provided medical care inside of the Ukrainian refugee camps. Her areas of interest include pain management and mental health, in addition to chronic illness. She is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine.
