Beautiful weather to last through next week

We will continue to have beautiful weather not only today but through the upcoming weekend and most likely through the workweek next week.

We will continue to have a chance for a few overnight, morning windward, mauka areas with a few light showers on the leeward parts of the islands. The best chance for that rain will be Friday into Saturday morning.

Other than that, just your typical overnight, morning light windward, mauka showers. The trades will stay in place for the foreseeable future and get breezy beginning Monday and remain breezy during the workweek next week.

Expect highs overall in the low 80s and morning lows near 70 degrees over the next seven to 10 days.

The north-northeast trade winds will be with us for the next seven to 10 days and most likely beyond that time frame into next weekend as well. The trades will be around 10 to 20 mph with maybe a few gusts up to 20 to 25 mph. These trade winds stay in place throughout the next seven to 10 days, increasing to breezy next Monday through most of the week.

The only weather concern this week will be the high UV index. The UV Index is expected to be 11.0 Thursday and stay high all week into the upcoming weekend. Your skin could burn in only 10 to 12 minutes. Take care of your skin with that reef-safe lotion.
