UPDATE: Man killed in overnight crash in West Jefferson County identified
ADGER — A man has died after leaving the road and wrecking into multiple trees in Adger on Tuesday, Nov. 29. At around 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, a passerby notified Jefferson County E911 of a single vehicle traffic accident that claimed the life of a man on Groundhog Road, just past Sealy Ann Mountain Road in West Jefferson County near Adger.
Christmas help sought for Birmingham mother who was shot 4 times over the weekend
Family and friends are rallying around a Birmingham mother who is recovering after she was shot four times over the weekend. Amber Scott, 33, was injured in the Saturday shooting in west Birmingham. Her 15-year-old daughter was in the vehicle with her when the shooting happened, but the teen was not injured.
Weekly Safety Report: Stabbing and Fatal Collision Shake Bessemer
Two incidents occurred in Bessemer, Alabama this week. In the first incident, a man was shot and killed after stabbing another man during an altercation. The second incident involved a head-on collision that resulted in the death of a 70-year-old woman four days later.

Evergreen man killed in head-on collision with tractor-trailer
An Evergreen man died Friday when his vehicle collided head-on with a tractor-trailer in Monroe County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The accident occurred just before 5 a.m. Friday on U.S. 84, just one mile east of Repton, when a 2016 Nissan Altima driven by 34-year-old Jonathon L. Wilson collided with a 2016 Mack tractor-trailer driven by 51-year-old Scottie Smith of Frisco City.
Two, including child, critically injured after semi hits pickup truck, police
