Arrest made after 25-year-old man shot in West Philadelphia home: Police

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a man was shot in West Philadelphia on Sunday morning.

Officers say the shooting happened on the 1300 block of North 56 Street just before 12:30 a.m.

A 25-year-old man was shot once inside a residence, police say.

Police escorted the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was placed in critical condition.

Officials say a gun was recovered at the scene and an arrest was made.

There is no word yet on what the motive for the shooting was.

Police have not identified the victim or the person who was arrested.
