Calexico’s Cruz Makes National Flag Football Team
CALEXICO — Calexico High School’s Paula “Nico” Cruz recently earned her way onto USA Football’s 17U girls national flag football team. Cruz, a 16-year-old junior, participated in tryouts last month and was selected, along with 17 other girls from across the country, to be part of the team which will compete in the 2024 Junior International Cup tournament in Los Angeles this summer.
