HOLLAND — The Holland Farmers Market has returned.

The annual tradition at Holland Civic Center — 150 W. Eighth St. — kicked off Wednesday, May 15, with over 75 local farmers, specialty food vendors and food trucks with fresh fruits and vegetables, breads and baked goods, and more.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled for the start of the 2024 season of the Holland Farmers Market,” wrote marketing coordinator Kara de Alvare in a release. “We are looking forward to another season of connecting the community with fresh, healthy and local food and we can’t wait to welcome back all of our farmers, vendors and returning customers.”

Visitors to the early sessions of the market can shop for early spring produce like asparagus and rhubarb, and leafy greens like spinach and kale, plus root vegetable varieties.

Visitors will notice a few changes.

“It’s an exciting season for us as we launch our all-new branding for the market and as we put the finishing touches on an all-new website ... which we expect to go live by the start of our summer season,” de Alvare wrote.

Bridge Cards and Pandemic EBT Cards are accepted at the Holland Farmers Market, along with Senior FRESH. Some vendors accept WIC Cards.
