GBI arrests Georgia man in connection with 11-year-old’s murder
PAULDING CO. – A Georgia man was arrested by the GBI in connection to the murder investigation of an 11-year-old. The GBI has arrested and charged Osman Sesay Jr., age 18, of Hiram,, in connection to the death of Zander Whatley, age 11, of Douglasville, GA. On April 29, 2024, the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office asked the GBI to investigate.

Cobb County Water System Reports 120 Gallon Sewage Overflow
The Cobb County Water System reported an estimated 120 gallon wastewater sewer overflow occurred on May 13. The overflow, resulting from gravel, occurred at 4210 Old Cherokee Street in Acworth and discharged into a tributary to Tanyard Creek. The Water System was notified of the overflow on May 13 at 11 a.m. and the overflow was stopped on May 13 at noon. ...
