Story Screen reopening movie theater in Hudson
Story Screen, a community of film lovers who screen films and hold pop-up events, is working to reopen a movie theater in Hudson. The theater at 160 Fairview Avenue was most recently the home of the Madison Theatre, which closed both its Hudson and Albany theaters in the past few months.
Native Son comes home: Arlo Guthrie’s historical artifacts on display at exhibit
Great Barrington — The exhibit “Arlo Guthrie: Native Son” opened at the Guthrie Center on May 17. The Guthrie Center, located at 2 Van Deusenville Road, is located in the former St. James Chapel, originally built in 1829 and expanded in 1866 and renamed the Trinity Church. The building is the same church Guthrie sang about in his infamous “Alice’s Restaurant” that his friends Ray and Alice Brock owned.

HUDSON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Columbia-Greene Community College has opened a new General Educational Development (GED) testing site in their Professional Academic Center (PAC) on their campus. The site will be the only GED testing site between Albany and Poughkeepsie and will expand access to essential educational resources for Columbia and Greene County residents and beyond.
