We start Thursday with temperatures in the sixties this morning with a few isolated showers west of I-35W. More scattered showers will develop this afternoon, especially south of Hillsboro. Some storms may become severe. Afternoon highs will reach the low nineties.

Tomorrow will be relatively dry and hot. Daytime highs will reach the mid nineties.

There will be a dying complex of storms moving in from the Northwest early Saturday morning. But don't let your guard down, a large complex of storms will form Saturday late afternoon and evening across much of North Texas. Some of these could become severe. The Storm Prediction Center has put a level 2 out of 5 in place for much of north Texas. Hail, damaging wind, and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Not everyone will see rain. Afternoon highs will reach the low to mid nineties.

Sunday will be relatively dry with highs in the mid to upper nineties. A cold front will approach the Red River in the evening hours. Some storms may form in this area.

This front may get the push it needs to head towards I-20 late Monday evening producing scattered showers and storms. Afternoon highs will reach the mid to upper nineties.

Depending on where this front stalls on Tuesday and Wednesday, will depend on if we see any shower or thunderstorm activity. It's still days away, but will be monitored. Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper nineties. As of now, I think the triple digit heat will stay just west and southwest of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
