Highland Lake police search for missing 67-year-old man cancelled

UPDATE 7:45 p.m. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency announced the cancellation of the alert Sunday for a missing man. No other details were provided.

The Highland Lake Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man.

This missing man, Roy Richards, 67, is described as a white male with brown eyes and gray hair and may be living with a condition that could impair his judgement, according to state troopers. He was last seen on Oct. 28, 2023 at about 12:35 a.m. He was possibly wearing gray sweatpants and black slip on Sketchers, and was last seen in the area of Kennedy Drive in Oneonta, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Richards may be travelling in a 2018 Blue Ford Fiesta with Alabama license plate: 8AA2PNR.
