The storm, located over La Grulla or near Los Ebanos, is moving northwards at a speed of 15 mph, as detected by Doppler radar at 5:54 PM CDT. The storm poses a hazard of winds exceeding 40 mph and hail of nickel size. The source of this information is radar indications. The impact of this storm could result in gusty winds that have the potential to cause damage to tree limbs and unsecured objects. There is also a possibility of minor damage to outdoor items. Specifically, the area affected includes US Highway 83 between mile markers 828 and 836. The maximum size of the hail is estimated to be 0.88 inches, with maximum wind gusts of 40 mph.

A total of 14 people were arrested and arraigned on multiple gambling related charges following a raid in an Elsa game room, the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office announced. The illegal gambling raid was conducted Thursday evening at the Sizzing Sevens game room, located at 412 State Highway 107 in Elsa, according to a Friday news release.
