Hickory woman facing multiple drug charges after traffic stop in Graves County

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Hickory woman faces multiple charges after a traffic stop in Graves County on Thursday.

Bailey Guzman, 22 of Hickory, faces charges of bail jumping first degree, speeding, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 2nd or greater offense, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and other traffic charges.

On May 25, around 6:05 p.m., Graves County Sheriff’s Deputy Chad Hall and Deputy Larry Jones conducted a traffic stop on a KY 408 West for a speeding violation.

During the stop, the deputies determined that the driver, Guzman, had an outstanding warrant for her arrest out of Graves County District Court for bail jumping first degree on a drug related charge.

Guzman was arrested and searched.

Deputies found marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia in Guzman’s purse, according to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.

A syringe with a substance inside of it that field tested as methamphetamine was also found in the purse, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies also found suspected methamphetamine in a bag under the driver’s floormat.

Guzman was taken to the Graves County RC Center and was later to an out of county facility.
