Faith Christian continued its dominant run this season by claiming three titles and six other medals at the annual National High School Coaches Association tournament at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.

Here is a recap:

Freshmen

Faith Christian’s Cael Weidemoyer won the 152-pound title. He was third at the PIAA Wrestling Championships in Class 2A.

Teammate Adam Waters won at 170 pounds after taking state gold at 172 in 2A. Jason Singer won the 195-pound title after taking seventh at states.

Fellow Lions Arment Waltenbaugh was fourth at 132, Jonny O’Brien was sixth at 138 and Mark Effendian was second at 220.

Notre Dame-GP’s Dominic Sumpolec was third at 160.

Nazareth’s Brayden Zuercher was third at 170.

Pennridge’s Ryan Rowe was second at 182. Notre Dame-GP’s Connor Smalley was fifth.

Sophomores

Faith Christian’s Gauge Botero, a PIAA 2A champion, was third at 120. Teammate Chase Hontz was sixth at 138. Max Stein was fourth at 152.

Bethlehem Catholic’s Shane McFillin was fourth at 126. Fellow Golden Hawk Charlie Scanlan was fourth at 145.

Pennridge’s Talan Hogan was seventh at 170.

Juniors

Quakertown’s Mason Ziegler was second at 120 after finishing second at the state 3A tournament. Teammate Calvin Lachman was third at 220.

49th annual Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic

Nazareth’s Sonny Sasso and Saucon Valley’s Jake Jones lost their matches and Team Pennsylvania lost to USA 33-9 on Saturday at Peters Township High School, Washington County.

Sasso came up short 3-2 against Minnesota’s Gavin Nelson, who got the winning takedown midway through the third period.

Oklahoma State commit Brayden Thompson, ranked No. 4 nationally, pinned Jones in 3:58.

Former Bethlehem Catholic state champion Tyler Kasak registered one of the three Team PA wins, 3-2 over Iowa’s Ryder Block at 139.

Greater Latrobe three-time state champion Vinny Kilkeary beat Michigan’s Braeden Davis 5-2 at 127. Waynesburg Central two-time state champ won 3-1 in sudden victory over Michigan’s Josh Barr at 172.

Girls 8U

Palisades’ Lexi Beers had three pins and a decision to win the 45-pound division.

Quakertown’s Lena Pallone was sixth at 51 pounds.

Boys 8U

Nazareth’s Casen Taff was eighth in the 50-pound bracket.

Nazareth’s Eddie Cuff was second at 55 pounds.

Girls 9-10

Northwestern’s Madeline Werner was third at 50 pounds. Pocono Mountain East’s Gabby Theis was fourth.

Easton’s Mia Emili had three pins and a technical fall to win the 56-pound title.

Tamaqua’s Aubrey Kokinda was second at 63 pounds.

Bangor’s Tatiana Gomez finished fourth at 94.

Boys 9-10

Nazareth’s Vinny Foster was third at 55 pounds. Pennridge’s Logan Vallalla was fifth and Northwestern’s Hunter Vermeulen sixth.

Saucon Valley’s Stevy Mytych won the 60-pound championship with three bonus-point victories and a decision.

Nazareth’s Liam Reeves beat Easton’s Marco Plasner for the 65-pound crown. Parkland’s Owen Coonradt was fifth.

Nazareth’s Kole Wasser was third at 70 pounds.

Dieruff’s Ayden Jimenez was the 75-pound champion.

Emmaus’ Cullen Quay was eighth at 85.

Northampton’s Liam Israel was second at 120.

Girls 11-12

Quakertown’s Mackenzie Gappa was first at 78 pounds.

Southern Lehigh’s Xuan Graham was third at 84.

Quakertown’s Mya Pallone was fifth at 92.

Pen Argyl’s Carolyne Katz won the 100-pound bracket. Nazareth’s Adrianna Heckman was fifth.

Parkland’s Laura Volpe was fourth at 145.

Boys 11-12

Nazareth’s Noah Desmond was fourth at 65-pounds.

Pocono Mountain East’s Collin Smith was fourth at 70.

Emmaus’ Riley Crandall was fifth at 75.

Catasauqua’s Cael Muller was fourth at 80.

Nazareth’s Lucas Reeves beat Easton’s Brady Genard for the 85-pound title. Easton’s Jack Famularo  was fourth.

Jim Thorpe’s Caleb Kosko beat Easton’s Nathan Fenner for the 90-pound crown. Bangor’s Andrew Gomez was seventh.

Catasauqua’s Cole Schwartz was the 95-pound champion. Pocono Mountain East’s Christopher Gerheart was fourth.

Pleasant Valley’s Aiden Vanicky was eighth at 105.

Emmaus’ Xyler Sallit was seventh at 125.

Freedom’s Cole Retos was seventh at 135.

Pocono Mountain West’s Christian Stiehler was third at 160. Salisbury’s Gavin Gnall was fourth and Bethlehem Catholic’s Dominic Tocci fifth.

Quakertown’s Bradley Dimiglio was fourth at 200.
