Hereford's Owen Bell was unstoppable all season long, going a perfect 42-0 in the 126 lb. weight class. Bell won his first ever state championship, and did not allow a single point against in the state tournament. For that dominating performance, and capping off his high school career at the top of the podium, Bell is our Prep Player of the Week.
"My first two years didn't go as planned, I didn't place at the state tournament my freshman year," said Bell. "My sophomore year got canceled due to COVID, and my junior year also I got fourth in the state, kind of ended it off with a bitter ending."
After falling short of the ultimate goal his junior year, Bell was determined to win it all.
"I was just really happy to get on that podium for the last time and get a state championship," Bell added.
Following graduation, Bell will head to Lewisburg, PA to wrestle for the Bucknell Bison.
