Fairpark rezone pitch would add townhomes at current LDS Church site

A new rezone proposal could add townhome units at the edge of the Fairpark neighborhood along Redwood Road. Last week, developers filed a proposal to rezone a former church building at 660 N. Redwood Road from Institutional (I) to RMF-35, which would seek to tear down the building and develop 88 townhome units on site. The site is currently owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but is in the process of being sold. The land totals 3.58 acres.
