For the most part, it was a week to forget for local high school football teams. Of the five teams that are within the Helena area, the Helena High Bengals were the only victorious team, knocking off Flathead 47-14. Capital was defeated 56-0 by Glacier, while East Helena dropped an Eastern A matchup with Havre 41-6. Jefferson and Townsend were also beaten by Columbus (26-16) and Three Forks respectively (46-0).

Laurel soccer teams get big soccer wins
Homecoming soccer took to the field in Laurel on Thursday, Sept. 21st against the East Helena Vigilantes. The girls kicked things off. Play was fast and furious and found the Locos leading 3 - 0 at half time.
