SALISBURY, Md. – Skateboarding at Unity Square sparking controversy. “My first thought was, what law are we breaking?” said Bryan Whipple. Business Owner of Lurking Class Skate Shop and parent Bryan Whipple asking the city, what are the rules of Unity Square? He’s speaking out after he and his family were told they can not skate in Salisbury’s newest park. Whipple questioning why? “The first cop didn’t even have an answer for me and the second cop said it was just the generic by-the-book answer, which I don’t really agree with. But, he said it was malicious destruction of property,” said Whipple.
First annual Miles for Smiles scheduled for this weekend
SALISBURY, Md. – This weekend is the first annual Miles for Smiles Ride supporting Special Olympics Maryland. Riders will have a police escorted ride from Rommel Harley Davidson in Salisbury to Sinepuxent Brewing Company in Berlin. At the end of the ride, they’ll have food, games, live music, and raffles, all to benefit Special Olympics Maryland.
Salisbury Baseball blows out St. Mary’s
SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Seagulls destroy St. Mary’s 15-5. The Gulls jumped out to an early 8-1 lead after a solo home run from Ben Anderson. The Gulls had 16 hits in the game. St.Mary’s did get back in the game in the top of the 8th scoring four runs to make it a 10-5 game but the Gulls answered with a five spot.
