FOODIE PICK: LITTLE SAINT, HEALDSBURG
“Little Saint is an uplifting gathering place where the food, wine, music, art and conversations are good for the soul, the earth and our community.” - Little Saint
On the menu at the downstairs cafe many yummy plant based offerings:
- Shredded Beets with walnut dressing, satsuma, horseradish & sunchoke
- Celery Root Ceviche with avocado, cilantro, tomatillo, red onion & tortilla
- Bolero carrots with pumpkin salsa macha & red cabbage.
Chef won over my heart and tummy with:
- Little Saint Shepherds Pie: Crumbled tofu, root vegetables and whipped potatoes
This pie was as good as any pie my mom has ever made and it was sans the lamb that usually makes this dish a winner! The Little Saint Shepherds Pie was a win, win, win!
From the cafe downstairs complete with a bar, store and live music stage. Upstairs is 2nd story where a more upscale yet approachable experience resides, a playpen where Chef Stu and his culinary team shine. There is also live music each week. Little Saint is open Thursday - Monday 8 A.M. - 10 P.M and closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, check their site for more info .
