WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - A crash in southeast Wichita has left one person in critical condition and another with serious injuries Saturday night. Sedgwick County dispatch confirmed that a crash at Harry and Woodlawn at 9:13 p.m. left one person in critical condition, another with serious injuries and three others unharmed.

Missing 12-year-old boy found safe
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - The Wichita Police Department is asking for the community's help locating a missing 12-year-old who was last seen Saturday afternoon. The WPD said Abel Cunningham was last seen on foot this afternoon in the 2700 block of N Fountain Ave. He is described as a Hispanic male 5'0" 100 lbs, with black hair. He was last seen wearing a grey hoodie with blue jeans and black Nike shoes with a red swoosh and a black backpack.
Pedestrian critical after hit-and-run incident in south Wichita
An unidentified pedestrian was taken to a hospital with critical injuries after being hit by a car early Saturday in south Wichita. A man in his 40s was hit by a dark-colored SUV around 2 a.m. at 44th Street South and Broadway. The SUV left the scene and police have been looking for it.

Two face charges after confrontation with deputy in north Wichita
Charges are pending for a man and a woman after a confrontation with a Sedgwick County deputy on Thursday. County officials said it happened around 2 p.m. when the deputy tried to serve an arrest warrant on the woman near 13th and Poplar. The woman reportedly fled to a nearby home. The deputy chased her but then retreated after a man inside the home threatened to kill the deputy.
Wichita man sentenced to 10 years in prison after 2020 fatal shooting
WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Nathaniel Saunders has pleaded guilty to the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Marcus Sain. On May 20, 2020 during a drug transaction, then 22-year-old Saunders fired multiple shots at Sain and a 18-year-old victim in an apartment parking lot. Sain died of his wounds. Suspect held on $2 million bond for Kan. burglary, murder
SEDGWICK COUNTY —A man accused in a deadly shooting made his first court appearance in the case Tuesday. Matthew Alexander III, 30 of Wichita, is charged with 1st degree murder, attempted 1st degree murder, or in the alternative aggravated battery, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, battery, kidnapping and aggravated burglary, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office.
Woman Found Murdered in Wichita
On Sunday, September 24, a woman was found dead in a field in Wichita, Ks. 911 was called by a man who discovered the body late afternoon. After a thorough investigation, it had been determined that the woman was murdered. She was identified as Kylie Caldwell and was last seen early that morning.
