👟 FHSU's 400m hurdles trio opens action at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - A trio of Tigers from the Fort Hays State women's track and field team ran in the 400m hurdles at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays Presented by Truist on Thursday.

Running in the prelims as one of the top 45 entries, Mattie Rossi surpassed the national qualifying mark for the second week in a row with a time of 1:01.36. She was one of three non-Division I competitors in the field of 45 runners, and was the fastest DII finisher.

Taylor Savolt ran a time of 1:03.24 in the timed finals section, placing 35th out of 76 runners. Chloe Stanley turned in a time of 1:04.22 to finish 47th.

The trio will return to action on Friday (March 31) and will be joined by Lyric Holman, Nolan Churchman, Ethan Lang, Hayden Albright and Philip Landrum.
