UPDATE: Four-year-old Dalton Drinnon was found safe Wednesday evening.

After a multi-agency search, the Hawkins County 4-year-old and his dog were located about half a mile from his home just before 9 p.m.

ROGERSVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an Endangered Child Alert for a missing Hawkins County child.

Crews are currently searching for 4-year-old Dalton Drinnon, who was last seen Wednesday afternoon near the Sandy Valley Road area near Rogersville.

It is believed Drinnon walked away from his home and may be with a yellow labrador retriever, according to the TBI. He was wearing a grey “How to Train Your Dragon” t-shirt, khaki shorts, and no shoes.

Drinnon is about three feet tall, weighs about 40 pounds, and has curly blonde hair and brown eyes.

Several agencies are actively searching for the child, according to the Hawkins County Rescue Squad.

The rescue squad said it does not currently need assistance from citizens but is encouraging nearby residents to search their properties.

Search crews are in need of supplies, including bottled water, Gatorade, and snacks. The rescue squad will be accepting donated items at its station at 955 East McKinney Avenue in Rogersville beginning at 9 p.m.

Anyone who sees Drinnon is asked to call 911.
