Ben and Bella have been running track together since they were five years old in the Pee Wee Division of Sacred Heart CYO in Havertown.

These days, the brother and sister duo of Benjamyn and Isabella Daily belong to the Delco United Track Club. Last March, they competed in the Adidas Track Indoor Nationals in Virginia Beach.

Ben and his team ran the 4×400, coming in fourth. Bella and her team placed second and she was named All-American, writes Elena Perri for CatholicPhilly.

Bella, a sixth grader on the track team at the Academy of Notre Dame in Villanova, specializes in distance races. She’s a top middle school runner in Pennsylvania and second in the country for sixth graders. She’s clocked a personal best of 5:26 in a mile run.

Ben, a sophomore at Archbishop Carroll High School in Radnor, is also on the school’s track team

He’s inspired by Olympic sprinters Usain Bolt, Noah Lyles and Michael Norman.

“Ever since I watched Usain Bolt, I always knew that I wanted to be like him when I grew up,” Ben said.

Bella wasn’t far behind.

“I followed my brother, so that’s how I started running,” she said.

She’s hoping to make it to the Olympic Trials in 2028.
