Fire Heavily Damages Brewster Home
Firefighters from Brewster and surrounding towns made quick work of a house fire at 5 Beechtree Dr. at around 7:30 Tuesday morning. They arrived to find flames coming from the windows and roof of the single-family home. No one was hurt, though one firefighter was evaluated for a possible minor injury. The blaze caused heavy damage to the first and second floors of the house, and the state fire marshal’s office is investigating.

Box truck gets snarled in power line in Dennis
DENNIS – A box truck reportedly became snarled in a power line in Dennis shortly before 12:30 PM Thursday. The incident happened on Setucket Road just east of Mayfair Road near the Yarmouth town line. The driver had to stay in the cab until Eversource could cut power to the line. Traffic was detoured around the scene, which remains under investigation.
Firefighters called to scene of well involved cottage in Eastham
EASTHAM – Firefighters are on the scene of a well involved cottage type structure in Eastham. The fire was reported on Bonaya Road off McKoy Rd about 10:45 AM Tuesday. There were no immediate reports of injuries. Mutual aid from surrounding towns also responded. The State Fire Marshal is investigation the cause of the fire.
