HARVEY COUNTY — One man was found dead and another man in critical condition at a residence east of Hesston Thursday afternoon, according to Harvey County public information officer Kyle Mccaskey.
Two acquaintances of the men found both men unresponsive at a home in the 8000 block of North West Road.
Harvey County Communications received a call from one of the acquaintances at 3:49 p.m. requesting medical assistance for the two men. EMS and law enforcement were dispatched to the home.
Emergency responders found a 48-year-old man dead inside the home. His name has not been released pending notification of family.
Emergency responders performed life-saving measures on scene for a 55-year-old man. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. He is a resident of the home.
The incident remains under investigation by the Harvey County Sheriff’s Office. Foul play is not immediately suspected.
