Man arrested in fatal hit and run in Hartford

Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - There's been an arrest in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash earlier this spring in Hartford.

Police say they responded to an area of Main Street just before 6:30 p.m. on March 31 on a report of a pedestrian struck by the driver of a Jeep Cherokee that then fled north on Main
Street.

Fifty-six-year-old Kendall May of Bloomfield, who coached the boys basketball team and other sports at Prince Technical High School in Hartford, was unresponsive and later died at an area hospital.

Police are now charging 41-year-old Jaimuse Workman in May's death.

Workman faces charges of misconduct with a motor vehicle and evading responsiblity.

He's being held on $100,000 bond.
