Mississippi announced financial incentives for a shipbuilder to expand in Gulfport in 2020, days after the president of the shipbuilder's parent company made a $10,000 campaign contribution to Republican Gov. Gulfport 16-year-olds charged in shooting incident
Two Harrison County 16-year-olds have been arrested after authorities say they shot into an occupied dwelling. Kyree D’Twione Robinson of Gulfport was charged as a juvenile as a minor in possession of a firearm on the date of the shooting, officials said. He was developed as a suspect along with Treterius Moore and one other person police say were responsible for the incident. Moore and Robinson were consequently charged with shooting into a dwelling and are now in custody at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center.
Mississippi councilman arrested in connection with federal drug trafficking case
A Mississippi councilman has been arrested in a federal drug trafficking case. Biloxi City Councilman Robert Deming was taken into custody during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon on Pass Road, according to officials with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. Deming is being held in the Harrison County Jail without bond.
