Floyd County Man Arrested for Drug Offenses After Police Find Meth and Heroin in Traffic Stop

A Floyd County man was arrested Wednesday night after police found meth and heroin.

Deputies with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a vehicle in the Toler Creek Area in Harold Wednesday night. A K-9 unit sniffed around the vehicle during the stop and alerted deputies to the presence of drugs in the vehicle.

The deputies searched the vehicle and discovered crystal meth, heroin, prescription pills and digital weight scales.

23 year old Daniel Akers of Teaberry was arrested for trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and numerous traffic violations.
