RCSO Deputy arrested by Harlem P.D. after domestic related incident

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WJBF) – A Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been arrested after a domestic related incident.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the RCSO Internal Affairs Division was notified that Deputy Terence Driggers was arrested at his residence by the Harlem Police Department for a domestic related incident on April 15th at 9:21 P.M.

According to the warrants filed for Driggers’ arrest, during a domestic dispute, he allegedly visibly harmed one woman by punching her in the face and causing a visible bruise, as well as swelling to her eye.

Another female victim visibly harmed in the incident allegedly was thrown to the ground, causing cuts on her arm and stomach area.

A small child was present in the home during the incident and allegedly witnessed the battery against the two female victims in the case, resulting in a charge of 3 rd Degree Cruelty to Children.

Authorities say that Deputy Driggers was off duty at the time of the incident.

According to the RCSO, Deputy Driggers began his employment with the Sheriff’s Office on March 14th, 2015 and was assigned to Road Patrol.

According to RCSO, Deputy Driggers resigned on April 16th, 2024.
