One Airlifted To MD Hospital After Violent Harford County Crash (Developing)

One person had to be extricated and airlifted to an area hospital after crashing in Harford County on Thursday afternoon.

Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS personnel and crews from the Abington Fire Department responded to the eastbound lanes of Pulaski Highway near Harrier Way in Belcamp at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, where there was a reported crash with a patient trapped inside the vehicle.

Paramedics were able to free one person, who was treated at the scene until a Maryland State Police helicopter was called in to airlift the patient to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for further evaluation and treatment.

No other injuries were initially reported. The roadway was temporarily closed during the investigation. One lane was reopened at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
