Oden granted Probation
Connie Jean Oden, of Hawesville, was indicted on December 22nd, 2022 on the charge of second-degree manslaughter, and was also charged with tampering with physical evidence. She plead not guilty during her arraignment on January 24th, 2022. The Court found Oden to be eligible for supervised probation for a period of 5 years on April 26th, 2024.

Softball Game Preview: Tell City Plays at Home
The Tell City Marksmen will be playing in front of their home fans against the Princeton Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Tell City is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Hancock County on Thursday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hornets. Tell City has not had much luck with Hancock County recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Lady Hornets are Class “A” state runners-up
Livingston Central scored three runs in the fourth inning then held on to win 3-0 over Hancock County in the championship game of the All “A” State Softball Tournament at Jack C. Fisher Park in Owensboro Sunday. The Lady Hornets claimed the state runner-up trophy for the sixth time. The girls won five consecutive games over the weekend before falling in the title game.
