Georgia man drowns in North Country pond after jumping off cliff
Gouverneur, N.Y. — A man from Georgia drowned in St. Lawrence County this week after jumping off a cliff in into a pond, troopers said. Shawndre O. Sheffield, 32, of Albany, Georgia, was found dead Tuesday around 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, said Brandi M. Ashley, a spokesperson for the State Police.
Neighbors recount tense moments in Nicholville on Sunday
