HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) - No structural damage to the bridge. That’s the word from Mississippi Department of Transportation engineers who inspected a crash site on Hwy 603 near Hoda Road Wednesday.

A single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning brought traffic to a near standstill for hours on the two-lane road. A section of the concrete guardrail was ripped away, and crews had to install a temporarily fix using a guardrail beam. A permanent fix will be made to the concrete bridge in the near future. All lanes of the bridge have reopened to traffic.

The crash happened around 9 a.m. and involved one vehicle that rolled over and injured the driver.
