ALL RIGHT. WELCOME BACK FOR YOUR SECOND ROUND OF WEATHER HERE. WE’RE GOING TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE BEACH AND POOL FORECAST, AS YOU CAN SEE. 10 A.M. AS I’VE MENTIONED ALREADY, LOW 80S EXPECTED BY THE TIME YOU GET IN THE 1:00 HOUR, MIDDLE 80S. AND FOR THE 4:00 HOUR, OF COURSE, 3:00 AS WELL. YOU’LL SEE CONDITIONS TO BE LIKE IN THE UPPER 80S AS WELL. HEAT INDEX WOULD BE 89 TO 93 DEGREES. IT’S GOING TO BE A MUCH WARMER THAN WE’VE HAD OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS. DEW POINTS ARE GOING TO PICK UP WARM TO HOT CONDITIONS, HIGH PRESSURE MOVING ON IN, NOT MUCH GOING FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS THE AREA. IN FACT, UNTIL WE GET INTO POSSIBLY WEDNESDAY, WE DO HAVE THE AIR QUALITY FROM MONDAY, FROM 6 A.M. TO MIDNIGHT, JUST LIKE WE’VE HAD TODAY. IT’S LIKE IT’S STILL GOING ON TODAY. YOU’LL SEE THE SAME LOCATIONS YET AGAIN DOWN TO THE SOUTH SHORE AT SAINT TAMMANY PARISH. THEIR TEMPERATURES WE HAVE AGAIN WILL BE IN THE 80S. BY THE TIME WE GET INTO THE 9:00 HOUR. YOU CAN SEE THOSE LOWER 80S, MIDDLE 80S. BY THE TIME WE GET IN THE 11:00 HOUR OR SO, IT WAS SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS DEVELOPING BY THE METRO, GETTING DOWN TO BELLE CHASE, BACK OVER TO SAINT BERNARD PARISH, PLAQUEMINES, AS WELL AS DOWN BY THE COAST. WE’LL GO UP TO THE NORTH SHORE. NOT MUCH HOOKING UP THERE AS FAR AS RAIN IS CONCERNED. IT IS ONLY A 10% CHANCE, BUT WE’LL SEE 88 DEGREES BY 1:00. ALREADY GET INTO THE HEAT, HOLDING ON TO CONDITIONS TO BE BY 3:00. UPPER 80S ON THE NORTH SHORE, LOW TO MIDDLE 80S. YOU GET INTO GULFPORT AND BILOXI. WE’LL PICK UP AGAIN DOWN ON THE SOUTH SHORE. TEMPERATURES HOLDING ON FROM WIDESPREAD 80S FOR YOU NOW WE’LL PICK UP AGAIN A LITTLE BIT OF WIND COMING UP OFF THE OFF THE SOUTH. AGAIN, MOVING INTO THE PICTURE. THAT’S WHY THE HUMIDITY IS PICKING UP A LITTLE BIT. BY THE TIME WE GET IN THE 8:00 HOUR, WE ARE DOWN INTO THE 80S AND 70S. WE’LL GO FULL BOARD 70S AS WE FINISH OUT AROUND, SAY, 9:00, 10:00 INTO IT, IT’LL FEEL LIKE IT’S ABOUT THE UPPER 80S AGAIN, IN SOME CASES FOR TOMORROW, POSSIBLY TO NEAR 93 DEGREES, IN SOME CASES, GRAND ISLE WILL GO FROM 78 TO 10 A.M. TO 85 AT ABOUT 3 P.M. IN THE PICTURE FOR TOMORROW. WE’LL ALSO SEE THE COASTAL TIDES AS WELL AS YOUR LAKES GETTING OUT AND ABOUT HOLDING ON. YOU’LL SEE TEMPERATURES THAT WILL BE IN THE 80S FOR YOU THERE. AS WELL. BUT IT WILL FEEL A LOT WARMER ON YOUR SKIN. YOU TAKE A LOOK AS WE GET INTO TUESDAY, WE GET INTO HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING OVER TO THE EAST. WE’LL GET SOME COASTAL SHOWERS AND AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE BUGGING OFF OF MEXICO, MOVING INTO THE GULF. WE’LL SEE THAT EDGE CLOSER TO US ON WEDNESDAY, PUTTING US IN A PARTLY TO MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES, 10% CHANCE OF RAINFALL THERE TO 20%. WE’LL ALSO SEE YET AGAIN, A 30% CHANCE ON TWO ON THURSDAY EXCUSE ME, WITH MAYBE A POTENTIAL SHOWER, MAYBE A STORM OR TWO. NOT MUCH IN THE WAY OF RAINFALL TOMORROW, THOUGH, AS WE GO RIGHT INTO IT TONIGHT, 61 TO 73 DEGREES. COMFORTABLE CONDITIONS AND LIGHT BREEZE. We had another comfortable afternoon today with high temperatures from 85-88°, light variable winds, and a heat index that ran from mild to fairly hot (Heat Index - Felt Like 70-88°). By mid-afternoon, we had isolated showers south of the Metro from Marrero eastward to Terrytown and spread south to Timberlane. Rain rates were only .06 -.20" inches per hour. Up on the Northshore, isolated light showers developed along the I-12 from Ponchatoula and Hammond eastward to Folsom, Bush, and into Mississippi toward Picayune, Kiln and south to Gulfport. The showers in Hancock County, MS were light to moderate. The chance for late evening showers is just 10%.Expect partly cloudy skies this evening and overnight evening temperatures 85-78°, and tonight quite comfortable temperatures 61-73°.However, another quick warm up for tomorrow, but first another Air Quality Alert Day from 6 AM to Midnight on Memorial Day. The Air Quality Alert is at "ORANGE" level and that means air quality will be unhealthy for Sensitive Groups. Those in the Sensitive Group are children to adults who have respiratory concerns, being exposed for long periods of time could be harmful to their health concerns.
