Police: Hampton teen found safe

UPDATE AS OF 6:17 P.M. TUESDAY, MARCH 26: Hampton Police said Makayla Anne Holtkamp was located safely.

ORIGINAL STORY:

HAMPTON, Va. — State police have issued a Missing Endangered Child Alert for a teenage girl last seen in Hampton.

Makayla Holtkamp, 15, was last seen around 9:15 p.m. on Friday, March 22 in the South Wythe area of the city, according to state police.

Her disappearance poses a "credible threat to her health and safety," state police said.

Police shared the following description of Holtkamp: white female, 5'4", weighs 100 lbs. and has red hair and hazel eyes. She has a nose piercing in both nostrils and both of her ears are pierced, police added.

She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black and red pajama pants, and had beaded bracelets on both arms police say.

State police issued the Missing Endangered Child Alert just before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Anyone with information on Holtkamp's whereabouts is asked to call Hampton police at 757-727-6111.
