HAMPTON, Va. — A 70-year-old man is in the hospital after a hit-and-run in Hampton Wednesday evening.
According to the Hampton Police Division, a pedestrian was hit in the 900 block of N. King Street just after 8:30 p.m. HPD said the man was trying to cross the street when he was hit by a car.
The person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
As of 9:15 p.m., police said both directions of King Street are closed.
Police haven't released any suspect information yet.
