Woman Robs Banks In Shelton, Stratford, Police Say
New Haven County resident Bernadette Volikas, of Milford, was arrested on Friday, June 2 for the robbery which took place on Thursday, May 4 in Shelton. Volikas was quickly identified as a suspect as Stratford Police Department investigated a similar robbery, which occurred in Stratford in February, said Shelton Police Det. Christopher Nugent.

On Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 8:17 a.m., Brandon Moore, 42, of Middlebury went to Middlebury Police Headquarters to turn himself in on an active arrest warrant. Moore was processed and charged with three counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor (53-21) and two counts of Failure to Store a Firearm Properly Re: Minor Access (29-37i).
