Gonzalez was riding a bike north on South Locust Street around 6:45 a.m. Saturday when he failed to stop at the stop light and entered oncoming traffic heading east on East Washington Street, Fetchu wrote.

He was struck by a vehicle in the intersection.

Gonzalez was at fault, the email states.

Police will not be releasing the name of the driver of the vehicle that struck him, Fetchu wrote.

Gonzalez was bicycling alone at the time of the crash, Fetchu wrote.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office provided an accident reconstructionist to help with the investigation.
