EDMOND, Okla. — Residents of an Edmond neighborhood woke up Thursday morning to damage after a vicious storm hit overnight. OG&E is in the area near Western and Waterloo in north Edmond to restore power after the storms snapped a power pole. Crews also worked to clear a spot where power lines blocked the road.

Edmond North defeated Norman North, 2-1, at Taft Stadium Saturday to win the 2024 OSSAA Class 6A Girls state soccer championship. An earthquake with a 2.8 magnitude was reported Thursday morning in central Oklahoma. The quake happened just after 8 a.m. According to the United States Geological Survey, the epicenter was located 4.1 miles east-northeast of Edmond and 13.9 miles south of Guthrie.
