Former Payne Springs police officer accused of selling seized drugs pleads guilty
HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A former Payne Springs police officer accused of dealing drugs has pleaded guilty. According to court records, Jonathan Hutchison, 41, of Mabank, was arrested in March 2023 after he and former Payne Springs Police Chief April Meadows were accused of selling drugs previously seized by the department. According to Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse, when Hutchison and Meadows were arrested, controlled substances were found at their respective homes. They were initially charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and money laundering.
