Update: Structure Fire In Twain Harte
Update at 4:15 p.m.: CAL Fire reports that crews have extinguished the Pine Fire burning in the Twain Harte area of Tuolumne County. The flames broke out in the single-story residential structure in the 23600 block of Krietzer Way, off Coffill Road. CAL Fire spokesperson Emily Kilgore reports, “The structure is completely destroyed, and firefighters have contained the vegetation fire.”
66-year-old killed in roll-over crash near Sonora
SONORA, Calif. — A woman died Saturday after a roll-over crash near Sonora. According to the California Highway Patrol, Delores Natalia, 66 of Sonora, was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound on Rawhide Road, north of Rimrock Road, when it left the roadway, hit an embankment and overturned. House Fire In Tuolumne Displaces One
Twain Harte, CA — One person was able to escape the flames of a house fire in the Twain Harte area of Tuolumne County, but the family pet was not as lucky. CAL Fire named it the Shepherd Fire. It ignited around 4:30 p.m. on Monday in the 17800 block of Shepherd Drive. When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting out of the attic of a single-story home.
CHP Thanksgiving Holiday MEP Begins Tonight
Jamestown, CA — The CHP Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP) for Thanksgiving holiday travel begins tonight. CHP officers will be out in force on the state’s highways. The MEP will begin at 6:01 p.m. today (Wednesday) and continue through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 26. The goal of the MEP is to reduce the number of crashes, injuries, and fatalities during one of the year’s busiest travel periods.
