Man faces drug charges following traffic stop in Greenwood

GREENWOOD, S.C. (WSPA) – A man is facing multiple drug charges following a traffic stop in Greenwood.

According to the Greenwood Police Department, the traffic stop happened on Wednesday at East Cambridge Avenue.

During the traffic stop, K9 Astor did a free air sniff around the vehicle and alerted that narcotics were inside the car.

The driver Anthony Jermaine Butler,42, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • trafficking fentanyl 3rd
  • trafficking crack cocaine 3rd
  • trafficking methamphetamine 3rd
  • possession w/ the intent to distribute cocaine 3rd
  • possession of schd II controlled substance

He is currently being held in the Greenwood County Detention Center without bond.
