PDRA Super Street Field Anchored by Blake Denton’s 4.729 in Norwalk
Super Street young gun Blake Denton’s hot streak in the class continued Friday with his second consecutive No. 1 qualifier award. Driving his Musi-powered ’76 Camaro, Denton stepped up to a 4.729 at 156.68 in the final session to hold off three other drivers in the 4.70s. Earlier this month, Denton also qualified No. 1 and won in Super Street at the Shakedown Nationals at Virginia Motorsports Park, though it wasn’t in PDRA competition.
Softball: A different year and a different outcome for Tuckahoe in the title game
It's a word that can take on different connotations but for Tuckahoe, it meant overcoming a really terrible memory. Last year, Tuckahoe played Yonkers Montessori for the title but Tuckahoe didn't play the cleanest game. The committed eight errors one year ago. As coach John D'Arco said, that last year was a tough loss.
2024 No. 6 recruit Boogie Fland to visit Indiana
2024 five-star combo guard Boogie Fland will take an official visit to Indiana, according to Jeff Rabjohns of 247Sports. 247Sports Composite ranks Fland as the sixth overall recruit in the 2024 class. He attends Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY. He is listed at 6’3″ and 165 pounds. As a junior, he averaged 18.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks in 31 games, per MaxPreps. He shot 35 percent from three-point range and 82 percent from the free-throw line. Fland has received 32 offers. He has taken official visits to Michigan and North Carolina.
