(Hinsdale, New Hampshire) 24 year-old Richard Miner of Greenfield was killed in a two-vehicle collision Tuesday. The accident occurred just before 6 p.m. on Route 119 in Hinsdale, New Hampshire just south of Runnings near the Vermont state line. Miner was a passenger in a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta and was ejected from the vehicle, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to New Hampshire State Police, “Preliminary investigation indicates that Hinsdale Police officers were in the area for an unrelated incident when an officer observed a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta traveling at a high rate of speed and operating erratically while traveling westbound towards Vermont. The vehicle then reversed direction and continued back eastbound crossing into the westbound lane and colliding head on with a 1999 Jeep Wrangler.”
The other two occupants of the Volkswagen and the driver of the Jeep were all transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for treatment.
